President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is “very close” to signing legislation repealing ObamaCare.
Trump tweeted the news, saying he is signing a bill to “end the ObamaCare nightmare.”
The tweet came shortly after Trump was sworn in for his first day in office, which marked the third time the president had signed a major legislative achievement since he took office.
The legislation, dubbed the “Repeal & Replace” bill, would repeal ObamaCare and roll back regulations.
It was initially reported Thursday afternoon that Trump was considering signing the bill, but the president has since reversed his stance.
The president is “making a very strong case that we need to get the legislation passed,” Trump said in a statement.
