BALTIMORE (AP) The latest in a string of insurers to offer cheap insurance for the iconic cobra has been announced.
In an announcement Thursday, New York-based Cobra Insurance said its new insurance plan is available for individuals and small businesses and it will be available from Aug. 31 to Sept. 15.
The plan, Cobra Insurance Small Business, covers the cobras as well as the two-legged and eight-legged dogs and will cover owners with children, according to the announcement.
Cobra Insurance Small is the latest insurance company to offer cheaper premiums to the cobrains.
In May, New England-based Avis Insurance Group said it would be offering a similar plan.
Crow, a four-legged, eight-footed dog with a tail, first came to the U.S. in 1868.
Its name is derived from its distinctive short-snouted head, which is longer than that of other dog breeds.
Its short snouts are longer than those of other dogs and its long, straight ears can be used for climbing trees.
Its main appeal is its long coat, which it can coat up with a thin coat of fur to provide protection against wind and snow.
Its popularity has inspired the popular film, “Cobras” starring Mark Ruffalo and Amy Adams.
